Physiological, Biochemical, Anatomical, and Agronomic Responses of Sesame to Exogenously Applied Polyamines under Different Irrigation Regimes

چکیده
Polyamines (PAs) are plant growth regulators that attenuate the destructive impacts of water deficit on sesame plants, particularly in arid regions under abrupt climate change. Limited information is available physiological, biochemical, anatomical, and agronomic responses to exogenous application PAs field conditions. Thus, a two-season trial was carried out assess impact exogenously sprayed spermine (Spm), spermidine (Spd), putrescine (Put) physio-biochemical anatomical parameters their influences performance crop productivity plants. The plants were assessed three irrigation regimes; full (100% ETc), mild drought (75% severe (50% ETc) Drought stress displayed negative all evaluated parameters. However, applied Pas, especially Put, restricted effects deficit. exhibited highly significant enhancement photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, b, carotenoids), gas exchange (net rate, stomatal conductance, rate transpiration), relations (relative content, membrane stability index, excised leaf retention), nutrient content (N, P, K) compared untreated stress. Moreover, PA amelioration osmoprotectants (free proline, soluble sugars, α-Tocopherol, ascorbate, glutathione), antioxidant enzyme activities (catalase, peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, ascorbate glutathione reductase). In addition, foliar nourishing with reduction oxidative markers (malondialdehyde, electrolyte leakage, superoxide, hydrogen peroxide). These positive reflected improvement characteristics (midrib length width, vascular bundle thickness phloem, xylem collenchyma, vessel diameter, number rows midvein bundle), yield-related traits (plant height, area, capsules per plant, 1000-seed weight, seed yield, oil content). Consequently, (in particular, Put) could be exploited enhance yield low availability regions.

physiological and Biochemical responses of different sesame (sesamum indicum) genotypes under salinity stress
Sesame seeds are a good source for food and health due to their protein and unsaturated fatty acids and secondary metabolites such as lignans. Soil and water salinity is one of the most important factors limiting the growth of this crop. By examining the physiological reactions related to salinity tolerance among different landraces and cultivars, tolerant and sensitive cultivars can be selecte...

Water deficit conditions, in addition to reduced water uptake, result in a reduction in nutrient uptake, and consequently, a substantial reduction in growth parameters, yield and quality. Substrate inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) as an environmentally friendly biofertilizer is an important strategy to improve the growth parameters and quality of products in such conditions. ...

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: The cow cockle has a great potential for producing medicinal products due to its triterpenoid saponins. This experiment was aimed to investigate different cow cockle ecotypes under drought stress conditions and select the tolerant ecotype(s) based on agronomic traits using selection indices under different irrigation regimes. Sage (Salvia officinalis L.) is cultivated worldwide especially in Mediterranean regions in which the leaves of this herb are widely used in pharmaceutical and food industries. Brassinolides and paclobutrazol are naturally occurring substances which modulate plant growth and development events and have been known to improve the crops tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. The effects of spra...
